In this Art Master study, students learn about famous artist Joan Miro. They will study his work, his style and create their own abstract piece. This project covers Common Core Standards for Language Arts for grades K-8 which can be found at the end of the lesson.

In this Joan Miro lesson, students will study the history of and re-envision artwork in the style of art master Joan Miro.
And/or use this lesson as a prompt for writing activities. It can apply to the study of Suspense for Middle School students. Have students write about their own artwork or another student’s piece.
