Christmas Advent Art Lessons for kids

These are my best Christmas and Advent art lessons for kids ages 4-14. They focus on multiple art elements and principles, and exemplify the spirit of the season.

It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year! Our Catholic School has an enormous Craft Fair every year and this is the artwork that hangs in the windows of our classrooms in the breezeway. These art pieces not only decorate our hallway, they remind everyone about the reason for the season.

Here are my favorite art lessons celebrating all things Christmas and specifically Advent. These lessons were taught in grades TK-8th grade. Each lesson focuses on an element of art or principle of design and use a variety of tools and techniques from watercolor to acrylic paint, chalk to oil pastel, printmaking and collage.
